Front Seats.

Above are the photos of the front seats.

The seat consists of a wooden board with a coil sprung wire-mesh top made into it’s own metal frame which is nailed to the board.

The original leather was so perished it had fallen off. So it was stripped down.

Some of the coil springs were broken so they were replaced with new ones.

New canvas was sewn to the spring.

Felt padding was sewn on next  and horse hair sewn in.

Thick Dacron went on next for added softness.

New leather  (blue) was cut to the original pattern, half inch foam with lining glued on the back and the leather was sewn straight through it, so all that was left to do was to tack it to the wooden board.
